Stop 1Bettona, Umbria
Bettona
Hill town base for Umbria's medieval cities
Bettona sits on a ridge between Assisi and Perugia, a walled town small enough to walk in twenty minutes but old enough to predate Rome. You arrive to a welcome drink, then settle in before dinner at the hotel. From here we arrange morning excursions to Assisi's Franciscan basilicas and Perugia's Corso Vannucci, and a day trip through Montefalco olive groves and Spoleto's piazzas. Your farewell dinner features dishes from the Umbrian table: lentils from Castelluccio, strangozzi with black truffle, porchetta from the Nera valley.
Arranged for you: Three nights accommodation, welcome drink, breakfast daily, welcome dinner and farewell dinner featuring local cuisine, guided visit of Assisi, olive oil mill visit with tasting lunch.
