Nice
three nights on the Côte d'Azur
We base you in Nice for three nights while a coach and English-speaking escort take your small group along the most storied stretch of the Mediterranean. You travel from Milan through San Remo and Monaco on day one, passing the Grimaldi Palace and stopping for photos at the cathedral where Grace Kelly married Prince Rainier. Day two follows the celebrity circuit to Saint-Raphaël and Saint-Tropez, then returns along the Esterel Coast, where iron-red cliffs drop straight to the sea. On day three you head inland to Saint-Paul-de-Vence, a hill town of ramparts and cobbled lanes that drew Chagall and Prévert, then visit Grasse, the perfume capital, with a tour of a working perfumery from April through September.
Mornings and evenings in Nice are yours. The Promenade des Anglais runs the length of the waterfront, and the old town behind it holds trattorias, gelaterias and the daily Cours Saleya market. We arrange four-star lodging within walking distance of both.
Arranged for you: We arrange three nights in Nice with breakfast, round-trip coach transport from Milan, English-speaking escort, entrance to a Grasse perfumery (April to September), and hotel transfers.

Day by day in Nice
Meet your group early in the morning at a designated point in Milan’s historic center and depart by coach for San Remo, the “city of flowers and sun” on the Italian Riviera. Enjoy free time to stroll its elegant streets and seafront, relax on the beach, browse charming boutiques, or try your luck at the casino. After lunch on your own, continue along the coast to Monaco, one of the world’s most glamorous micro‑states. You’ll pass by the Grimaldi Prince’s Palace and stop for photos near the Cathedral, where American actress Grace Kelly married Prince Rainier and is now buried. The tour continues with a panoramic drive around Montecarlo, home of the Formula 1 Grand Prix and the famous Montecarlo Casino (note: the immediate Casino area is not accessible by motor coach). In the evening, arrive in Nice, where you’ll spend the night.
After breakfast, set off on a “star‑gazing” day along the French Riviera. Visit Saint‑Raphaël and Saint‑Tropez, both renowned for their sandy beaches, luxury yachts, and celebrity visitors. Enjoy time at leisure to soak up the glamorous atmosphere, stroll the waterfront, or relax at a café. In the afternoon, travel back to Nice along the Esterel Coast, a spectacular stretch of shoreline where rugged red cliffs plunge into the sparkling Mediterranean. Take in the panoramic views before returning to your hotel in Nice for a restful night.
Enjoy breakfast before heading inland to Saint‑Paul‑de‑Vence, a beautifully preserved medieval village perched on a hilltop. Wander through its cobbled streets, admire the old ramparts, and take in the views that inspired artists such as Marc Chagall and Jacques Prévert. Continue to Grasse, the world capital of perfume, to explore its charming town center and cathedral. From April to September, you’ll visit one of the region’s renowned perfumeries to learn about the history and techniques that have made French perfume famous worldwide, an ideal opportunity to pick up unique gifts. In the afternoon, travel to Cannes, known for its international film festival, palm‑lined Croisette, and golden beaches. After some free time to explore, return to Nice for the night.
Day 4
Nice, Milan
After breakfast, enjoy a free morning in Nice to stroll along the Promenade des Anglais, browse local shops and markets, or relax at a café by the sea. Following lunch on your own, board the coach for your return journey to Milan, where your French and Italian Riviera tour, and our services, will come to an end.

We missed our connecting flight in Munich. I had just got through customs and was looking up the number to call when Trips 2 Italy called me. They told me exactly what to do and they already knew what flight we had been rebooked on.
