The Milestone, Marked Properly
Twelve years of school, or four of college, deserve more than a weekend. Stand under the Sistine Chapel ceiling. Hike the coastal path between two Cinque Terre villages and eat pesto where it was invented. Take a Vespa through Rome at dusk. Toss the coin into the Trevi Fountain, because you will want to come back.
We plan custom graduation trips to Italy for families celebrating together and for graduates traveling with friends. Either way, the trip is designed around the graduate’s interests, and either way we arrange the parts that matter to the people at home: a driver at every arrival, central hotels, guides for the group alone and a line in Italy that answers day and night.
Mark the milestone properly.
Tell us about the graduate and who is going. A planner calls within one business day.
The Grand Tour: Rome, Florence and Venice
The classic route, done well. The Colosseum and the Imperial Forum with a guide who brings ancient Rome to life. Michelangelo’s David at the Accademia. San Gimignano’s towers and Siena’s Gothic heart. St. Mark’s Basilica and a boat to Murano.
Add Lake Como or the Cinque Terre for a few days outdoors. Best for graduates seeing Italy for the first time.
Sorrento, Capri and Rome
A private boat around Capri with a swim stop below the cliffs. A lemon grove tour and mozzarella di bufala on the Sorrento peninsula. Pompeii’s streets, villas and amphitheater. Then Rome, with a Vespa ride through the neighborhoods and evening views.
Best for graduates who want the sea, the food and a little ancient history, in ten days.
Sicily, From Palermo to Taormina
Palermo’s street markets with a guide, tasting arancini and panelle. The Valley of the Temples at Agrigento. The Roman mosaics at Villa Romana del Casale. The 142 majolica steps of Caltagirone, Modica’s chocolate, and a guided hike on Etna through lava fields and steaming craters.
Best for history and science students, and for graduates who would rather explore than queue.

Freedom for Them, Peace of Mind for You
Graduates traveling without parents get the same arrangements as any family we look after. A driver waiting at every airport and station. Central hotels, chosen for location. Guides for their group alone. A briefing call before departure and a printed trip book with every address and contact.
While they are in Italy, a line answers day and night. If a train is missed or plans change, we sort it out and tell the next driver and guide.
Open an Adventure. Make It Yours.
Every sample adventure on this site is a working plan, not a brochure. Open one and shape it the way you would with a planner across the desk. Nothing is booked and nothing is charged. When you send it, an Italian-born planner calls to talk it through.
Change the nights
Add a night in Florence, take one from Venice. Every stop has its own plus and minus.
Choose the hotel style
A five-star in the historic center, a countryside estate, or an apartment for three generations. We name the property once we know your dates.
Add what you love
Food tours, a private boat day, a cooking class, the Vatican before the crowds. Interests are matched to each city.
Save it, then send it
Save the adventure to My Adventures, come back to it later, and send it to a planner when it feels right.
A Family Trip With the Graduate at the Center
Many families mark graduation with one last big trip together before college or a first job. We plan the days around the graduate’s interests, art, food, history or the outdoors, and the pace around everyone else.
A cooking class the whole family shares. A free evening for the graduate and siblings in Trastevere. A dinner for the occasion, reserved in advance.
Start With a Conversation
Three quick answers and your details. An Italian-born planner calls you within one business day to listen first, then sketch the trip. Prefer the phone? We are in Houston, on Central time.

Graduation Trip Questions
It is a trip designed around the graduate and the people traveling with them, whether that is the whole family, a parent and child, or a small group of friends. We build the route, the nights in each place, the hotel style and the days we arrange from what the graduate wants to see, then arrange everything end to end: private transfers, guides, reserved entries and support in Italy day and night.
Yes. Many parents give the trip as a gift and stay home. For those trips we arrange a driver at every arrival and departure, central hotels, guides for the group alone, a printed trip book and a line in Italy that answers day and night. Parents can have the full itinerary and the emergency contacts as well, so everyone at home knows where the graduates are each day.
Rome, Florence and Venice are the classic first trip, and for good reason: the Colosseum, the David and the Grand Canal in ten days. Graduates who want the sea add Cinque Terre or the Amalfi Coast. Curious travelers and history students love Sicily, from the temples at Agrigento to the Greek Theatre in Taormina.
Ten to twelve days is the most popular length. It allows three or four bases without rushing, a day on the water, a cooking class and a free afternoon in each city. Shorter trips work well with two bases, such as Rome and Sorrento.
Late May through July, right after commencement, is the most popular window. It is also the busiest time in Rome, Florence and Venice, so we plan early entries at the Vatican and the Accademia and keep the afternoons for the coast or the hills. Planning six months ahead gives the best choice of hotels.
Yes. Many trips we plan are gifts from parents or grandparents. Start the conversation with us, and we can keep the details quiet until the reveal, then plan the rest with the graduate so the trip reflects what they want to see.
Give the graduate Italy.
No obligation. Trips can be kept a surprise until the reveal.
