Nine-Night Romantic Italy: Venice, Tuscany and the Amalfi Coast
Private transfers, curated hotels and guided days through three of Italy's most romantic regions.
You leave Venice at sunset with a boat to yourselves, follow stone walls up through a Tuscan vineyard, walk the Amalfi terraces hand in hand. This itinerary removes the friction from the essential Italy route so the two of you can focus on each other and the places that matter.
We arrange the private transfers, choose the hotels, schedule the guides and book the tables. You arrive in Venice in late afternoon. Your driver meets you at the airport and takes you by water taxi to a canal-side hotel. You have three days in the city. The pace is yours.
Your Adventure Starts Here
This is a starting point. Change the nights, choose the style of hotel, add the experiences you want. Your planner takes it from there.

Three nights in the floating city
We book you into a four-star hotel along a quiet canal in Dorsoduro or near San Marco, depending on your preference for neighborhood calm or proximity to the basilica. Your room overlooks water. Breakfast is served in a courtyard or on a rooftop terrace. You are five minutes on foot from a vaporetto stop.
On your second morning a guide meets you at the hotel for a two-hour walk through the Rialto market, across the Accademia Bridge and into the sestieri where tourists thin out. We reserve a table one evening at a bacaro near the fish market. The rest of the time is yours to walk, ride the vaporetto, sit in campos and get lost.
Arranged for you: Private water taxi arrival and departure, three nights in a premium four-star canal-side hotel with breakfast, half-day private walking tour.

They took the time to understand our preferences and designed an itinerary that was comfortable, personalized, and enjoyable. They offered thoughtful recommendations while never being pushy.
We missed our connecting flight in Munich. I had just got through customs and was looking up the number to call when Trips 2 Italy called me. They told me exactly what to do and they already knew what flight we had been rebooked on.

Questions travelers ask
When is the best time to visit these three regions?
April through June and September through October offer the most comfortable weather and smaller crowds. Venice is warm and busy in July and August. The Amalfi Coast is best from late April through early October when hotels and boat operators are fully open. Tuscany is beautiful in any season, though November through March brings rain and shorter days. We adjust the itinerary and hotel selection based on your travel dates.
How do we get between Venice, Tuscany and the Amalfi Coast?
We arrange private drivers for all intercity transfers. The drive from Venice to Tuscany takes four to five hours with a lunch stop. The transfer from Tuscany to the Amalfi Coast takes five to six hours, and we include a two-hour stop at Pompeii with a private guide. The final transfer to Naples airport is about ninety minutes. All transfers are by sedan or van depending on your party size. We do not use trains or rental cars.
Can we extend the itinerary or add other regions?
Yes. We commonly add nights in Florence, extend the Amalfi Coast stay to include Ravello or add a stop in Rome. Some couples reduce Venice or Tuscany to add time on the islands or in Umbria. We can also arrange day trips from your base in Tuscany to Florence, Lucca or the Cinque Terre. Every itinerary is customized to your travel dates, pace and interests.
What kind of hotels do you book for a romantic trip?
We focus on four-star and five-star properties with the quietest rooms, best views and most romantic settings. In Venice that means a canal-side hotel in Dorsoduro or near San Marco. In Tuscany it is a countryside villa or resort with a pool and vineyard views. On the Amalfi Coast it is a clifftop hotel with a terrace facing the sea. We choose properties with excellent breakfast, attentive service and proximity to what you want to see. Upgrade options are available at every stop.
Do you arrange private tours or do we explore on our own?
We arrange both. In Venice and Siena we schedule private walking tours with licensed guides who show you the essential sights and the quieter corners. In the Chianti we arrange a full day with a driver and guide for winery visits. The private boat to Capri includes a captain but not a guide on the island. The rest of the time is yours to explore, relax by the pool or follow our recommendations. We never over-schedule a romantic itinerary.
How do you handle restaurant reservations and dining?
We make reservations at restaurants we know and trust, choosing places that match your preferences. In Venice we book a bacaro near the Rialto. In Tuscany we reserve a table at a vineyard restaurant on your Chianti day. On the Amalfi Coast we arrange one dinner at a cliffside spot reached by footpath. The other meals are left open so you can decide the day of, or we provide a list of recommendations you can call directly. Hotel breakfasts are always included.
What if we want to visit Florence during the Tuscany portion?
Your driver is available for a day trip to Florence from your countryside hotel. We can arrange a private morning walking tour of the Uffizi and the Duomo, then leave the afternoon open for shopping, lunch and exploring on your own. Some couples prefer to add a night in Florence instead, which we can build into the itinerary. We adjust the balance between city time and countryside time based on what you want to see.
